Among other things, it will count your total number of steps taken and convert them to miles and will tell you how many calories you have burned throughout your day to day activities. When your Fitbit comes within range of a wireless network it will automatically upload your data to your personal Fitbit profile, awarding you badges for accomplishments.

I was very surprised to see how the quality of my sleep changed throughout the week.

The Fitbit has sensitivity settings that will allow you to perfectly dial in your device.
